Meet Your Gardeners
Golden Hour Gardening grew from a desire to help others experience homegrown gardens that are not only beautiful, but also productive, sustainable, and enjoyable to spend time in. Our approach emphasizes edible gardening, pollinator-friendly plants, water-wise practices, as well as practical designs that fit each client's lifestyle and goals.
The name Golden Hour Gardening reflects our favorite time of day in the garden, those peaceful moments in the early morning or evening when the light is soft, the air is calm, and the rewards of nurturing a living space are most apparent. Our goal is to help create outdoor spaces that bring a sense of joy, beauty, and wellbeing to others for years to come.

My love of gardening began with a simple idea: some of the most meaningful moments happen outdoors. Whether it's harvesting vegetables for dinner, watching pollinators visit a flower bed, or sharing a backyard with family and friends, gardens have a unique way of connecting us to both nature and each other.
As a healthcare provider, I have spent my career helping people improve their wellbeing with nutrition, movement, and time spent outdoors. Gardening brings all of these elements together by providing fresh food, encouraging physical activity, reducing stress, and inspiring a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
From raised vegetable beds and herb gardens to backyard orchards and habitat-friendly landscapes, I believe every yard—large or small—has the potential to be transformed from underused spaces into places of abundance and connection.

My love of gardening began in my grandfather's small Chicago backyard, where we grew tomatoes in barrels and discovered the joy of harvesting homegrown food. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion that continued through high school and college while working at a local plant nursery, earning degrees in biology and education, and later studying beekeeping along experienced beekeepers and apiarists.
Today, Golden Hour Gardening Company is the culmination of that lifelong passion for culinary gardening, pollinator-friendly landscapes, and backyard living. I use organic, ecosystem-friendly methods to help people grow abundant food in any setting while creating healthy habitats for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial garden life.
I believe that growing food is about more than harvesting vegetables; it's about reconnecting with the soil, the seasons, and each other. Whether you're planting your first raised bed or expanding an existing garden, my goal is to help individuals and families experience the satisfaction of growing, harvesting, and cooking fresh food together at home.
